Alabama A&M
University has accepted the
challenge to participate in the 2004 Student Launch Initiative(SLI)
sponsored by the Education Programs Department at Marshall Space Flight
Center.
The MSFC (Marshall Space
Flight Center)
Student Launch Initiative (SLI) involves high school and college students
within a 50-mile radius of Huntsville, Alabama.
Students participate in the design, building and testing of reusable rockets
with associated scientific payloads. This unique hands-on experience allows
students to demonstrate proof-of-concept for their designs and gives
previously abstract concepts tangibility. To find out more about this
